Warranty
Greenworks Warranty Terms and Conditions
This document outlines the terms and conditions (the "Warranty") for Greenworks electric or battery products (the "Product"). The Warranty is provided by Globe Group ("Globe Group") or Globgro AB in certain regions. The following sections describe the coverage, exclusions, and terms of this Warranty.
General Terms
The Warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser of the Product and is non-transferable. It only applies to Products purchased directly from Globe Group or an approved reseller. For a list of approved resellers, please visit www.greenworkstools.eu.
This Warranty grants specific rights that do not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws, particularly within the European Union. If the Product fails to conform to the sales contract, you may have additional remedies under the law, even if purchased directly from Globe Group.
Warranty Period
The Warranty begins on the date of purchase, as documented by a valid invoice or receipt. Coverage periods vary depending on the type of use:
- Consumer Use: 36 months for Products and chargers, 24 months for batteries.
- Spare Parts: 6 months for spare parts, unless used in Warranty repairs.
If an extended Warranty period is offered (e.g., through product registration), the extended period will apply, provided all conditions are met.
What is Covered
The Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Globe Group will repair or replace defective parts free of charge, at its discretion. Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or a newer model of equivalent functionality. Replaced parts or Products become the property of Globe Group. Replacements or repairs under the Warranty do not extend the original Warranty period.
The Warranty includes coverage for:
- Defects in materials or workmanship under normal operating conditions.
- Repair or replacement of defective parts, excluding items subject to normal wear and tear (e.g., tires, cutting blades, belts, trimmer lines, etc.).
Exclusions
The Warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from:
- Misuse, overloading, improper maintenance, or failure to follow the owner’s manual.
- Exposure to environmental factors like smoke, water, corrosive materials, or extreme conditions.
- Use of non-genuine spare parts or unauthorized modifications.
- Incorrect connection to power supply or use of improper voltage.
- Cosmetic flaws or minor deviations (e.g., discoloration) that do not affect functionality.
- Consumable parts such as cutting blades, power cords, drill bits, sanding plates, etc.
- Normal wear and tear (e.g., blade sharpening or cable adjustments).
Specifically, the Warranty does not cover:
- Damage to auger and paddle assemblies, skid shoes, scraper bars, mower blades, or other parts subject to impact or abrasion.
- Rental use, even if the Product was initially purchased for consumer or commercial use.
Battery Coverage
The Warranty covers mechanical failures and defects in workmanship for batteries. However, as batteries naturally lose their ability to store energy over time, this normal degradation is not considered a defect. Significant reductions in capacity within the Warranty period, that indicate a manufacturing defect, may still be covered.
How to Claim Warranty Service
To make a claim, contact the seller of the Product (Globe Group, Globgro AB, or an approved reseller) with a description of the defect and proof of purchase. If the defect cannot be resolved remotely, you will be required to either bring or send the Product to the point of purchase for further inspection and repair.
- If purchased online, you may receive a prepaid shipping label for return. If purchased in-store, you will need to bring the Product back to the store at your own cost.
- The Product must be safely packaged for shipment to avoid damage during transit. For some countries, the Product may need to be sent to a central service center. You can prepare the Product yourself or have an authorized Greenworks service dealer handle this process.
If the Warranty claim is valid, repaired or replaced Products will be returned free of charge.
Servicing Conditions
To maintain Warranty coverage, all service and repair work during the Warranty Period must be performed by an authorized Greenworks service dealer or an equally qualified service provider. Unauthorized repairs or modifications may void the Warranty.
Limitations of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Globe Group is not responsible for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, revenue, profits, business opportunities, goodwill, or reputation. This limitation applies to any legal theory, including breach of warranty, and does not apply to death, personal injury claims, or gross negligence.
Regional Validity
The Warranty is valid in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Russia, and certain Middle Eastern and African countries. For coverage in other regions, please visit greenworkstools.eu.
No Limitation of Other Rights
This Warranty does not limit your statutory rights under applicable laws, especially if you have purchased the Product as a consumer. Additional remedies, such as those under the EU's consumer protection laws, are not affected by this Warranty.
